To start the microcement application process, the first step involves thoroughly cleaning the substrate, ensuring it is free from dust and moisture to create a suitable surface. Next, a primer and Base Coat are applied, specifically chosen for their ability to provide a coarser grain, excellent mechanical strength, and strong adhesion on any type of support. Following this, two coats of finishing microcement are carefully applied, with the texture determined by the desired finish, and different aesthetic effects achieved based on the trowel movements. After allowing the surface to dry for 24-48 hours post-application of the second layer, it is then sanded to ensure a smooth and even surface. The final step involves the application of two layers of the sealing finish to protect the microcement surface. Throughout the process, a variety of tools will be utilized, including cleaning materials, trowels, sanding equipment, and applicators for the primer, Base Coat, finishing microcement, and sealer. These tools are crucial for achieving a high-quality and durable microcement finish on various surfaces.
